Compacta consists of a sterile air system featuring a hood, radial fan, and HEPA filter. The fan generates a horizontal airflow that, through the hood’s design, produces a controlled vertical air stream meeting the requirement of at least 0.45 m/s, ensuring an ultra-clean working area over the patient.
The system is equipped with surgical lighting, designed to optimize the working environment in terms of light intensity, distribution, shadows, reflections, glare, and color rendering.
Compacta’s research in this area has focused on creating LED lighting with controllable wavelength and intensity, allowing optimal imaging conditions relative to the object being observed. Additionally, UV LED lights have been integrated to inactivate bacteria and viruses, with UV-emitting LEDs placed within the hood.
The high-resolution camera captures the object and transmits a low-distortion image to a monitor. It also features electronic interference protection and stabilization. The lens is anti-reflective, enhancing contrast and reducing shadows.
The advantage of CompactaSteril is its mobility, lightweight design under 20 kg, and its durable carbon-fiber shell.
