Since then, an extensive network of key competencies has been established, including both university-affiliated researchers and companies contributing to various aspects of research and development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recent advancements in surgical methods indicate that procedures involving the implantation of foreign materials will become increasingly common, thereby raising the demand for operating rooms capable of sterile surgery. At the same time, large parts of the world completely lack access to sterile surgical environments. Despite technological improvements, society\u2019s costs directly resulting from post-operative infections are estimated at SEK 5.7 billion per year (source: National Board of Health and Welfare, Sweden).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on many years of expertise in air handling\u2014primarily driven by the particle-free air requirements of micro- and nanotechnology\u2014the idea arose to translate this knowledge into a product suitable for both technologically advanced surgery and field medical care. Our product is designed to restrict microbiological cleanliness requirements to the work surface and the surgical area, eliminating the need for sterility in the surrounding room and associated equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has been strengthened by discussions with multiple healthcare representatives, all of whom have expressed a clear interest in the product.
